Anyone has uti from taking hydroxychloroquine

Some don't like it , but I'm very very happy on this... Hey there, I have been on Hydroxchloroquine for 14 years now the only side effects I have are my eyes sight they have gotten worse. It's pretty good in treating autoimmune illnesses.

Hydroxychloroquine is used to treat or prevent malaria, a disease caused by parasites that enter the body through the bite of a mosquito. Malaria is common in areas such as Africa, South America, and Southern Asia. This medicine is not effective against all strains of malaria. Applies to hydroxychloroquine oral tablet. Along with its needed effects, hydroxychloroquine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking hydroxychloroquine So I ran out of my plaquenil and the Rheum. that prescribed it I am no longer seeing and wont re-fill it and I dont see my new Rheum. until Decemeber 23rd. I am nervous to see what will happen. The pharmacist said there wont be any danger just stopping it. Im just nervous to see what my body will do. Has anyone gone off the plaquenil and what happened? I hear my new Rheum. is all for it so I.

All the best Yes I have been on it for roughly 6 months now and have definately felt/seen a difference. Not a miracle cure but has def helped and may help more the longer I take it. I guess at the end of the day you have to weigh things, also give and take.

Hydroxychloroquine is very much effective to SLE, No side effect noticed, even more supportive & favorite medicine during pregnancy for SLE. I am having SLE since 2 yrs & I was given 400 mg per day during my pregnancy to avoid any consequence effect to my baby, it worked for me. For anyone with RA, initiation into the MTX club seems particularly harrowing. I admit that I waited weeks to start taking it when I first got diagnosed with RA. But the truth is, it really wasn’t necessary to freak myself out. I wish I had known that but I, too, did not ask for or look for good information to ease my anxiety. Do not let anyone else take your medication. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refilling your prescription. It is important for you to keep a written list of all of the prescription and nonprescription over-the-counter medicines you are taking, as well as any products such as vitamins, minerals, or other dietary supplements.

The antimalarial drugs quinine, chloroquine and mefloquine. Jul 02, 2007 For chloroquine and mefloquine these concentrations are close to the IC 50 concentrations at both 5-HT 3 and nACh receptors. In summary, we have used a combination of electrophysiology, ligand binding, homology modelling and simulated docking to define the mechanisms by which quinine, chloroquine and mefloquine inhibit the 5-HT 3 receptor response.
