    Any side effects from stopping plaquenil


    I did stop it for 2 weeks early in the treatment due to having to take a coupld other drugs that seemed to give me side effects. I just quit the plaquenil to give my liver a rest at that time. Plaquenil isn a antiparasitic drug with anti-inflammatory affect.

    I had to stop Plaquenil after a few days. I couldn't walk, was dizzy, my speech was slurred, blurry vision, etc. but, I'm the one who usually gets side effects. I know people who Plaquenil has worked wonders. The side effects cleared up within a week. I also have Sjorgens, and my eyes were dryer on Plaquenil, but the blurry vision was the worst. Saturday was a week since I stopped taking Plaquenil, aka Hydroxychloroquine, per my doctor's instructions, and I think I am going through some form of withdrawal.
