Plaquenil is not effective against chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine-resistant strains of Plasmodium species see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY – Microbiology. Plaquenil is not recommended for the treatment of malaria acquired in geographic areas where chloroquine resistance occurs or when the Plasmodium species has not been identified.

This medication is also used, usually with other medications, to treat certain auto-immune diseases (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis) when other medications have not worked or cannot be used. Discuss the most recent information with your doctor before traveling to areas where malaria occurs.

To the Ladies with Libido issues - Sjogren's World Like many of you, I have been suffering with low to no libido for years- mainly the years that my sjogren's symptoms began. I had a *very* healthy libido beforehand. I'm 28 years old- the better part of my 20's was spent sick and depressed and being tossed around from doctor to doctor who made me feel like a hypochondriac and a complainer.
