So, instead of re-typing it I just copied it Cipro and Levaquin are from the same family of antibiotics called quinolones. the FDA has recently added a black box warning the strictest warning to both.     I had a skin rash from plaquenil hydroxychloroquine. I was. I've been on prednisone for 5 months and then on plaquenil hydroxychloroquine and azathioprine for another 1month. Why my lupus rash is not going away after 6 months of rx? Hands broke out from generic plaquenil hydroxychloroquine. Was put on prednisone 5mg dr says he will ween me off pred. Put me on name brand plaquenil hydroxychloroquine.
